She worked as senior consultant gynaeoncologist in the U.K. for 13 years.  She has dual accreditation in obstetrics & gynaecology and gynaecological oncology from the Royal College of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (RCOG) and the General Medical Council (GMC). In addition, she is accredited in colposcopy.
