Dr Wahid Khan is a renowned Acute Care Intensivist with over 8years working at Apollo Hospital Muscat for the department of Internal Medicine. He is experienced to handle life threatening conditions which require constant monitoring and comprehensive care. His main area of interests are Acute management of all kinds of medical (including cardiac) emergencies, management of critically ill patients in Intensive care units, management of chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension and COPD.
His expertise is in Insertion of central venous catheters, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, needle thoracocentesis, aspiration of ascitic and pleural fluids, lumbar puncture, non-invasive ventilation, mechanical ventilation of hemodynamically unstable cases and ICU management of critically ill patients.
He had received Fellowship of American college of Physicians (FACP) and Fellowship of American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP).
He is a member of European Society of Cardiology, Association of Physicians of India, Indian Chest Society, RSSDI,Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM), and Asia-Pacific Society of Critical care medicine (APCC).
